A friend asked me to pass this along, they are looking for a Linux System

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY
• Maintain Debian GNU/Linux servers in an exciting, mission-critical,
environment
• Develop new technologies to help manage a large number of servers
•
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Expert Debian GNU/Linux administration skills (i386 and/or amd64)
• Experience maintaining networks of medium to large-scale server farms
• Strong networking experience with OpenBSD (Packet Filter, Routing, QoS)
• Security-conscious and thorough understanding of fundamental networking
principles, including protocols such as TCP, UDP, IPv4/6, BGP
• Strong experience with scripting languages like Perl, PHP, BASH CSH
• Performance evaluation and tuning of MySQL 5.x (Replication + Clustering)
and Apache2 + PHP5
• Ability to handle periodic on-call duty

Always a plus
• Security analysis and auditing, including intrusion detection systems
• Development experience creating tools to help automate management and
monitoring tasks for large numbers of servers
• Load balancing using LVS and/or F5 Networks' BIG-IP
• Automated backup system experience (e.g. Amanda, rsync, etc.)
• Network health monitoring using tools like Nagios, SNMP. RRDtool (Cacti)
• BS/MS in a related field
