Firefox/Thunderbird: Tar file or RPM?

I personally just stick with what Ubuntu provides.  Their releases come 
out every 6 months and seem to match pretty well with major software 
releases.

The lastest Ubuntu release came out yesterday and includes Firefox 2.0.
