Maybe people just aren't using IRC as much. I have an IRC account setup
in Gaim, but rarely ever use it.

I tried out Qunu (http://www.qunu.com/) (from the "expert" side, rather
than using it to find help) a while ago. It's another take on this same
idea. It's similar to other ask-a-question/find-an-expert services,
except it works via IM (Jabber). Experts sign up, set tags to indicate
what their areas of expertise, and then wait for people needing help to
send a question. It seems to work fairly well.

It'd be neat if we could create a BLU branded version of Qunu. This
could be simulated to a degree if BLU members that wanted to offer help
all used a common tag on Qunu, like "BLU." Then other BLU members could
find local people who happen to be online and available to respond to
questions.
