Something else I would like to point out is that Ubuntu vs. RHEL/CentOS is
apples and oranges.  Fedora vs. Ubuntu vs. OpenSuse is a much fairer
comparison, in that they have release cycles that are similar (~6 months), and
have target audiences that are similar (desktop/end-users and developers who
like to tinker with servers; latest and greatest versions of everything).

RHEL vs. Debian-stable vs. Suse Enterprise, in terms of release-cycle and
target audience (long-running production servers; environments where stability
is paramount), would seem to be a good comparison as well.
