XOOPS: Watching a great project fall apart

from what i can tell people aren't communicating.  a
person or very small group is in control.  other
contributors are ignored and quit.  it seems even
useful patches are ignored.  very strange.

the current top three posts on the front page of
xoops.org are (at the time of this email):
1.  It's a shame, so I resign (a dev quitting)
2.  Do people just like moaning on a Forum?  (someone
bitching)
3.  The Wave of Change IS Upon Us!  (promises,
promises but no code or comment from lead dev)

i've made a small donation via sourceforge, do what i
can to be supportive in the forums and currently
struggle with making a module but have no personal
contact with the leadership.  i'm too odd and not
experienced enough to lead this group out of the desert.
