dynamic IP/remote access

I recently had to dump Speakeasy as my ISP. I moved, and they could
not run DSL to my new apartment for some technical reason. Though I
have a friend that lives about a mile away and he uses Speakeasy.
Anyway, now I have Comcast. It's Comcastic... ;) ugh... As a result
of not having Speakeasy, I do not have static IP. I believe people
have discussed services like dyndns.org and such before on this list.
I'm looking for a way to ssh to my home network. Would a service like
dyndns be the way to go?

Thanks,
Paul
