Hmm..  maybe Verizon doesn't own everything after all.  Is it possible
that Speakeasy is using someone else for demarcation?  Or is it
possible that Verizon is too lazy to do IDSL or something of that ilk,
but Speakeasy is more than happy to? . .?

Actually, now that I recall, even though Galaxy was always more than
helpful, they were a big m$$$ operation, with only the sys-admin and
webmaster as real linux geeks (or maybe just the webmaster.)  But
everyone knew about it.  The policy pretty much was provisioning a
line, but not your network.... your network is your problem.  Many
people were belligerent when I called them up and said, "You have a
DSL line that you can plug into and get the Internet, pay up.. "  Of
course, they didn't know that.. because they never plugged in!!
