Micro$oft: Winning Against Linux The Smart Way

Curious, so I tried it.

When clicking the button ("launch") I get a nicely formatted page from 
windows server: "The page cannot be found" which deadends at

http://www.linuxpersonas.com/uscsi_detect.html

A perfect intro.

By the by, why would the page be named uscsi_detect?  uscsi=usb scsi 2.

So I enabled javascript in Firefox, and was then greeted by the irritant 
of thumping repetitive music which implied at a visceral level "quick, 
select something before I crack".

I pressed another button and a female greeter, whose voice talent, 
formerly used for commercials on the Weather Channel, and who went on to 
an illustrious career recording airport flight announcements and parking 
garage vending machine audio, asked where Linux is being used, who is 
using it and the most shocking, "what is it used for".

Having an understanding of these, the Microsoft way, will open doors to 
sales and marketing conversations, reclaiming the flock to the One True 
Operating System, or so the script reads.

At this point I recalled a miserable two years attempting to administer 
MsSQL, Exchange, and a piteous web server in an environment that 
continually evoked the question, "What the hell is it doing now?!"  How 
many late nights spent reloading the OS?  How many hours on the phone 
with a Microsoft "engineer" trying to figure out why a patch didn't 
take?  How many agonizing hours attempting to do something as simple as 
"hello world" within one of their arcane, dll-ridden, operating systems? 
  Let me tell you about extended stored procedures.  Then again, don't ask.

I pressed the little "x" in the upper right and went about my business: 
linux.
