How can I have more loopback devices?

Take a look at:

modinfo loop

You should see something like this:
parm:           max_loop:Maximum number of loop devices (1-256) (int)

You can set something higher in modules.conf or add it to the kernel
command line if your loopback support is built into the kernel.  You
will either have to reboot or reload the module.
