New Computer, what should I install?

Disregarding all other replies:

I've been using AMD64 Gentoo for nearly a year now, no real problems.
Getting flash was a little problem, but Flock resolved that for me.
OpenOffice isn't easy either, just Abiword is good enough, and OOo
is possible. Be forewarned though: getting a browser to work with a JRE is
an absolute nightmare. (ie, Facebook), just doesn't work well at all. x86 32

emulation would do you well. :)
