Testing a bad mobo/CPU/power-supply?

I actually ran into this problem recently with Newegg -- almost
identical scenario.  AM2 mobo, with AMD X2 CPU, + DDR2 RAM.  However,
mobo comes on and doesn't POST.  I have a whole bunch of parts I
haven't got replaced yet.  Damn, I should have brought them to the
installfest and we could have got to the bottom of it.  What is it you
need ot narrow it down?
