Pointing Hosted web to home server

They basically want to keep their existing hardware, not pay more per month
for hosting and be able to on a windows machine or a linux machine give the
address of their web site to access their shared storage at one of their
homes instead of having to type the ip as comcast sometimes changes the ip
that goes to your house. I was looking into using an srv record in dns but
it seems like that will not work. They want to upgrade eventually but not
yet. This is a pro bono job for my best friends cousin. None of them are
technical people and they were told t hat it would be easy to do what I am
asking but I told them I was not sure. I had suggested a better web host
such as slice host which could double as a shared storage but when they
revealed that they have about 10 - 15 gb of data on their shared storage
freenas already they did not want to pay that price. I have worked more
with larger customers who can afford a system in a data center or something
similar.
