It is free-as-in-beer, and although there will not to my knowledge be
actual free beer, there will be free pizza, soft drinks, coffee, etc.

Re: details all I can say is that I recognize a lot of the speakers as
being really good, and last year was a lot of fun. The organizers have
more of a BarCamp [1] mentality, which may explain the lack of
details.
