not a rumor. the current version, mac os x 10.5 (both server and  
client), has read-only zfs support [1]. 10.6, due this summer, adds  
read and write support [2]. although apple has publicly discussed zfs  
only in the server version of os x. development is happening at http://zfs.macosforge.org/
