Add/Remove mainly contains full programs accessible to anyone, usually with
a GUI. Notice how Add/Remove doesn't require a password to install. It
installs all dependencies as well. Synaptic contains previous versions of
software, additional libraries and documentation (notice the "Documentation"
and "Libraries" section), etc. Add/Remove is basically a watered down
Synaptic. Most CLI programs and packages will be in Synaptic, such as
compilers, interpreters, etc.
