If your looking for a full system then dell (ubuntu) or system76 will come pre installed and ready to go.

If your building from parts then as suggested stay away from things that were just released and stick to common brands and you should be fine. Also try to find brands with linux support if you can. 

Not sure how the latest debian is but ubuntu is pretty good at picking up hardware on install. Debian having a longer release may not be quite so forgiving on install on more recent hardware.

I went to system76 for my machine.  I like supporting a Linux company.
 It required little effort on my part, a bit more money.
