In any case, Belkin assures me that the above cable will NOT work in
Linux. There are a few other cables that I have found via google that
appear to not require Windows drivers and should work with USBNet. What
I want to do is to be able to run backups over USB rather than over the
LAN, and while the cost of these cables run from $10 to $40 (Belkin), I
don't want to go through the time and effort to do something that
probably won't work.
