Richard, you're so quick to judge and reach extreme conclusions.  ;-)

*Sun* was planning this since before oracle took over sun.  That's what it
means when someone says "google failed negotiations with sun."  They
approached the negotiation table with sun because they were aware of
possible patent and/or copyright conflict; but I highly doubt google walked
away from the negotiation table because they suddenly reached the conclusion
Sun had nothing against them.

The value proposition of suing Google was one of the things which attracted
Oracle, that's true.

"the end of java" is pure BS.  And "the open solaris stunt" last week ... we
don't even know what that means yet.  They're continuing with commercial
solaris, they're getting rid of free opensolaris, and instead, promoting a
free solaris express.  We don't know what limitations they have in store for
solaris express, and we don't know if they'll continue development open
source.
