And, at least in the game software side of things, GOG.com has gotten into the act of taking old DOS and Windows games, patching them up to Windows/NT 5 standards, and selling them.  Legitimately.  $6-$10 per game, sometimes per game bundle for some titles.  No DRM, no authentication.  You buy it, you own it.

As an aside, *nobody* can offer Harry Potter books in electronic format legally.  J.K. Rowling has rejected electronic publishing out of fear of piracy.  Now *that's* ironic.
