What about Btrfs[1], the approximate equivalent to ZFS that is Linux 
native? Unlike the established ZFS, were the Linux challenges are 
porting and licensing, Btrfs is far more experimental, so my guess is 
that they haven't gotten to matters like block-level replication over a 
network.
