There is, the memory (both what was in it originally and what I 
installed) was fine, no errors reported.  It is a decent utility.

Responding to Bill H:  I also tried installing Xubuntu, the same errors 
came up with that as well...

It must be something on the motherboard then, that may be failing or has 
failed.
