Yes.

For example, ifconfig says:

...
          RX packets:85756479 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:92269890 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 
          RX bytes:4153158012 (3.8 GiB)  TX bytes:3166798470 (2.9 GiB)
...

Or you can hook up nice graphing systems like cacti, or you can
read info remotely via SNMP...
