I use Linode right now, and while I had some flaky experiences when I 
started out (when they were just starting to use Xen hosting, my virtual 
host would just crash for no reason I could discern), I have had no 
trouble with them for at least a year.

Before I signed on with Linode, I used openhosting.com, which provided 
excellent service and a “utility pricing” model.  The only reason I 
dropped openhosting.com was because at the time, they only offered 
CentOS, and I pined for Debian.
