I'll buy that.

Although a relevant point: neither Kindle nor Nook require DRM-encumbered books. So, picking a Kindle or Nook reader isn't locking you into anything, because really the "reader" is just as much a piece of software as Adobe's PDF Reader.  There is one lock out, though: if you choose Amazon then you don't get ePUB, and if you choose Nook then you don't get MOBI.
