I would say that you need more physical memory. I've been working with
VBOX on Windows 7, and on one of the clones, I installed Oracle XE (that
died out of the box). I was allocating 2GB to the Linux guest. After
trying a few things I scuttled the Vm, and created a new clone, this
time I allocated 4GB and everything went ok.
