And bear in mind: this isn't an upgrade. This is a hypothetical copy 
from one node to another. I can almost guarantee that any network 
configurations will fail to work correctly on Red Hat-ish systems even 
with identical hardware. Red Hat associates static MAC addresses with 
network interfaces in the if-up scripts. You'll have similar kinds of 
failures with /etc/fstab and Linux software RAID systems when using UUIDs.

Document everything, because each thing that you document today is one 
less thing that you have to guess at three years from now.
