System76 sells laptops with Ubuntu on them. I've purchased a
dozen or so in the last decade, some for personal use and others
for business. All have worked well out of the box with excellent
support.

They sell light, but not cheap.

To get cheap means that you don't get support, and the details 
of the hardware may change without a change in the model number.

That said, I've never had a problem with putting Linux on a
cheap laptop.
