It is not. Political correctness is the suppression of speech which may
be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive or inconvenient as
determined by governments, media outlets, authorities or other groups or
institutions.

Now go look up the definition of censorship.

Political correctness is not respect. It merely wears a cloak of seeming
respect to hide its true nature.
