I would be interested in attending if there is interest Randall Rose says:Thanks 18:42 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jerry Feldman says:Yes, and we would love to have another installfest. 18:42 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Randall Rose says:Sure, don't know if more people will be interested but can try 18:43 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edward Piecewicz says:Thunderstorms are on the way. If there is a rumble of thunder, I will have to disconnect. 18:43 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jerry Feldman says:I'm not worried about thunderstorms, I've flown through a few in viet nam. 18:48 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Abhishek Prakash says:👏 Abhishek Prakash says:Is that why you have a chopper in the background?😃 18:49 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jerry Feldman says:Yes, and that is one of the copters I actually flew in viet nam. 18:49 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Abhishek Prakash says:Wow! 18:50 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jerry Feldman says:I think it is now in North Carolina. 18:50 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Abhishek Prakash says:I'll be traveling to Vietnam next month... 18:51 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jerry Feldman says:It is a beautiful country. I used to fly in the Qui Nhon area near the coast. 18:52 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- John Abreau says:Was that photo taken in Vietnam while you were there? The bridge behind it looks a lot like one I've driven past often here in Massachusetts. 18:52 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jerry Feldman says:No, that is a recent photo in the US 18:53 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Randall Rose says:I'm in Providence (Boston suburb) 18:56 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jerry Feldman says:Providence is a place that people used to escape from Ma back in the 1700s. 18:58 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Randall Rose says:Or earlier. Randall Rose says:Now people escape in both directions. 19:00 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brandon Vogel says:That was fun - thanks! 19:48 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Randall Rose says:Thanks for the hint about "dconf reset -f /". I hadn't heard of dconf before today. Even looking at various kinds of documentation for dconf just now, none of these types of documentation gives any clue what "dconf reset -f /" does. So I appreciate the explanation. 19:49 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Abhishek Prakash says:Glad you found something new and useful 19:49 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Randall Rose says:Sometimes my computer goes unresponsive, then a few seconds later the screen blanks for a few seconds, then after that I see my windows again and at that point, the system may (or may not) become responsive again. Is that a situation where GNOME has creashed? (It happens multiple times a day every day) 19:50 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edward Piecewicz says:Thank you. 19:57 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jerry Feldman says: https://store.kde.org/browse?cat=423&ord=latest 19:59 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Randall Rose says:Thank you 20:00 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- meeting ended at 8:07 pm
