I attended the Megameeting planning meeting this evening (Thursday). I brought up the possibility of producing a set of WWW pages for the show, which we'd run at the Linux/Unix Group booth and the Web Masters booth, and probably also on a number of self-contained systems around the show floor, functioning as information kiosks. Response was enthusiastic. I'd like to get a team together in the next week to begin preparing this. Pam Bybell also wants to demonstrate the main BCS web pages at Megameeting. Robert Luoma has begun evaluating software for Macintosh and MS Windows, for use on the kiosk machines. We're unlikely to have enough machines capable of running Linux and X for the show to be able to use any for the kiosks. I'd like to invite those interested in helping out to join us in this project. Also, if anyone is willing to loan any Linux systems for our booth at the show, it would be greatly appreciated. We currently have one system available (my personal home machine), and ideally we could use up to eight systems at the two booths.
