>I was trying to make a boot floppy under DOS using RAWRITE. I get a >failure message like: "Can't figure out how man sectors/track for this >floppy". > >Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong ? Kevin, was the floppy successfully formatted (in DOS or Windows) prior to using rawwrite. Also, I do know that the Ygdrassil release only supported a 720KB formatred floppy for booting the kernel. I do know that Slackware 2.0 kernels use a 1.44MB formatted floppy. (I am assuming 3.5in media). Another possibility, though remote, is that the media type is incorrect in the bios. I doubt that this is your problem, but I wanted to put out the info to avoid more messages. Jerry Feldman
