Hello Linuxers. I've been trying to get running my version of Ftape that came with my Slackware distribution. It's a Linux System Labs version I bought in December of last year. When the machine boots it loads the ftape module and when I do a "set" <cr> TAPE=/dev/nftape tells me that the TAPE variable is set. Upon erasing or rewinding a tape I get:"mt: /dev/nftape: No such device." I'm using a 250MB Colorado Backup tape drive attached to the floppy controller. I really can't think of anything else at this point; i'm logged in as root when I attempt it. All the other devices that go along with nftape in the /dev direcotory seem to be there, such as nrft0, nrft1, etc. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks. =============================================================================== Vincent Cocco Suffolk University email: cocco at misty.suffolk.edu Boston, MA 02108 fax: 617-573-8703 ==============================================================================
