> The problem is, I used FIPS to repartition my drive, and now win95 > doesn't recognize the extra partition( ext2 partition... ) That is correct. Only these can recognize an ext2 partition: Linux Hurd FreeBSD Masix OS/2 Lites > I thought that if i reinstalled win95 to the same directory, > it would run normally, but now my registry is a little messed up, Reinstalled...? The whole point of FIPS is that you can leave Windows right where it is. There is no need to disturb it. > and all my preferences are gone. How can i do to make the > partition visible to windows? i doesn't need to be readable, > just visible in a way it won't conflict with the registry... ??? Maybe you should mark the Windows partition active using Linux fdisk. > still couldn't configure my network settings, although i could connect > to my ISP, i didn't have a DNS configured, but could ftp and telnet to > any IP, the browser didnt work though. Simple DNS: edit a file, maybe /etc/resolv.conf. Fast DNS: set up a caching DNS server on your machine. > i have a 133 pentium, 16 RAM, 1.2 HD. > /dev/hda1 win95 partition 900+ Megs > /dev/hda2 linux_native ext2 250+ Megs Unless you have much more RAM than you need, you should have a swap partition. You may substitute a swap file with lower performance if you need to. Oh, be sure /etc/fstab uses vfat for your Windows partition. Then you can use the long filenames.
