Sounds to me that you shoudl build a boot floppy from the file images/boot.img on the cdrom, and try again. What is an "image" RedHat disk? Also, what was the last thing on the screen before the system rebooted? > From owner-discuss at tarnhelm.blu.org Wed Jan 15 08:11:57 1997 > X-Sender: jbr at star.net > X-Mailer: Windows Eudora Pro Version 3.0.1 beta 5 (32) > Date: Wed, 15 Jan 1997 07:21:09 +0500 > To: discuss at tarnhelm.blu.ORG > From: Barry Ryan <jbr at star.net> > Subject: Red Hat 4.0 Install Problem > Mime-Version: 1.0 > Content-Type> : > text/plain> ; > charset="us-ascii"> > Sender: owner-discuss at tarnhelm.blu.ORG > Reply-To: discuss at tarnhelm.blu.org > Content-Length: 3275 > > I need some assistance, and can not attend InstallFest this weekend. > > Equipment: > AMD586-133 CPU, 16 Meg RAM, 428 Meg HDD, Adtapi compatible CD-Rom, 3.5 & > 5.25 Floppy's, AVGA2 Video 256K, Serial Mouse, 14.4 Internal Modem, Ether16 > LAN card (Linksys). **Not on a network, that is for future expansion in > house** > > Background: > Partitioned Hard Drive for a primary of 25Meg to use MS/Dos 6.22 on.
