I also go to Pioneer by MBTA. The Back Bay station on the Orange line's not too far from Pioneer. If you walk through Copley Place and the Prudential Center you don't have to go out doors until you get to Boylston Street, and then it's just across the road. The walk from the Copley Place station on the Green Line actually exposes you to a lot more of the elements, and it seems very little closer. So you have 2 choices!
