Sometime ago, I asked this list (and Usenet also) about whether the Epox pp6-ns dual Pentium Pro motherboard is compatible with Linux. I got a reply that as long as it uses the Natoma chipset, it should be OK. To make a long story short, the board works fine under Linux and NT. I haven't had a chance yet to test out OS/2. NT even notices that it's multiprocessor capable and installs the multiprocessor kernel. The whole box was fairly reasonable in price - ~$1900 for 64 MB mem, 2.5 GB disk, Diamond Stealth 64 Graphics 2000, Epox pp6-ns mobo with one 180 MHz PPro chip (no sound card as this is going to be strictly a web server). -- Bosco So bso at acm.org
