Jerry Feldman wrote in a message to Mike Bilow: JF> The world is changing to GUI. Fortunately, everything in Unix JF> can be done by editing configuration files with emacs or vi. Why people run GUIs on servers is a mystery. I like being able to remotely administer systems with telnet (or, actually, ssh). I have keys to the server room and can get in 24 hours, but it is also a 15-minute drive away. There is nothing I can't do over the wire that I can't do from the console, assuming the server at least boots. -- Mike
