MediaOne and Linux (yet again)

I finally moved my MediaOne connection from my Windows machine to a
Linux box -- called up MediaOne and gave them the new MAC address, etc.

The connection worked flawlessly on the Windows machine, but I have yet
to connect from Linux; dhcpcd reports "No DHCPOFFER Messages" or some
such.

I am running RedHat 5.1, kernel 2.0.34 with two 3Com 10/100 3c59x cards.

Any pointers?
