I have a small private network of 15 machines, served by one nameserver which is authoritative for the domain. This network also has a ppp dial-up link to ultranet.com. This link is a basic personal style account, to allow a email address for the company, and to let me get sources and such for support. Everything works fine and as expected. Diald raises the line to the ISP, and default routes are set up. The nameserver resolves all the local queries and falls back to Ultranets as expected. Things are great. Things would be greater if I could restrict local name queries to just my server. So that a misspelled unqualified hostname would fail without going to Ultranet's nameservers. Thanks. rob rir at phavl.ultranet.com
