Good news. I was considering the upgrade suggested, but also wanted to see how the machine I'm working on compared with its twin. It appears the messages I just sent out are its original configuration. Because free now reads: Mem: 30844 28436 2408 18916 2772 13292 -/+ buffers/cache: 12372 18472 Swap: 34236 2036 32200 I am going to put off the upgrade thoughts until I get through the switch in ISP's that I'm doing this month.
