Red Hat 5.2 NIS / Solaris 7 question

Want to know if Red Hat 5.2 can NIS serve the passwd and shadow password
so that a Sun Solaris 7 box can get user authentification. If so where
can information on how to do this be found?

In other works Linux is the master and Solaris is the client.
