> I ran a tail -f on my messages this afternoon and noticed this message: > > Jun 29 17:02:18 churchill inetd[410]: /usr/sbin/nmbd: exit status 0x1 > Jun 29 17:02:49 churchill last message repeated 30 times > Jun 29 17:02:56 churchill last message repeated 8 times > Jun 29 17:02:57 churchill inetd[410]: netbios-ns/udp server failing (looping), > service terminated We need more information. There should be a log for nmb in /var/log/samba, called log.nmb. You can also bump debug levels by inserting the line debug level = 3 in the global section of /etc/smb.conf Also, what did you chance last? - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
