Alrighty, I think I'm really close... export CVSROOT=":pserver:chris at flounder.linuxsoup.com:/usr/cvsroot" I fixed /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf and I can `telnet flounder 2401` I ran "cvs -d /usr/cvsroot init" I created $CVSROOT/CVSROOT/passwd and added myself "chris:<crypt>:cvs" Lastly, the cvs user is created and has a home of $CVSROOT. Here's my problem... I'll intentionally type the wrong passwd first : flounder; cvs login (Logging in to chris at flounder.linuxsoup.com) CVS password: cvs [login aborted]: authorization failed: server flounder.linuxsoup.com rejected access And next I'll type the right password : flounder; cvs login (Logging in to cdoerbec at flounder.linuxsoup.com) CVS password: cvs [login aborted]: recv() from server flounder.linuxsoup.com: EOF What am I missing here???? Patrick --- help me! By the way, I really enjoyed and got a lot out of the meeting last night. Thanks.... - Christoph - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
