I've just recently built Apache-SSL from Apache and OpenSSL. Kind of a pain. And I'll do it agin next week. But compiling in mod_perl and mod_php is a relative cinch. What was the suggestion about MySQL? I use Apache/Apache-SSL and MySQL with JSP and servlets at work. I think the RPM idea is a good one, even if it excludes non-RPM-aware distros. I'm interested if there's anything I could do to help.
