I got that message when I tried to connect to a version 1 sshd with a version 2 ssh client (which you seem to be using). You can build a version 1 client and rename it to ssh1, or such. - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
