Ah, my mistake. Checking other linux machines I have access to, I see that you are correct. None seem to have /usr/include/unix.h . The mistake I thought I made was overwriting this file with the unix.h from another source tree (for mod_php apache module). I think the actual mistake is that it should not be there at all. Removing /usr/include/unix.h seems to have solved my problem. I guess that the unix.h there was masking some other unix.h later on in the search path? In any case, thank you for your help ! :) Sorry to waste bandwidth here. -Noah On Fri, 21 Jan 2000, Derek Martin wrote: > On Thu, 20 Jan 2000, Noah Fields wrote: > > > > So, for reasons to embarassing to get into, I have just replaced my > > /usr/include/unix.h file with something else. > > Um, I don't have one of those... > Compiling what, the kernel? > When you unpack the kernel sources, unix.h is located here: > /usr/src/linux-2.2.13/include/config/unix.h (assuming kernel 2.2.13) - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
