I answered my own questions. First, my original script was using several --exclude= parameters. It was a script I just threw together when I got my 20GB drive. Using the --exclude-from (or -X) parameter, and inserting a short sleep between backing up the two Windows shares seems to have alleviated the problem. -- Jerry Feldman <gaf at blu.org> Boston Linux and Unix user group http://www.blu.org - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
