Ignoring the anti-trust suit for the moment, M$ would probably port MS Office to the Unix and Linux marketplace if there was a significant market. There is an ego trip by porting to Sun. But, at over $300 per license, MS Office would probably not a viable Linux product. WRT: Law suit. I suspect that Judge Jackson will try to impose something on M$ that is a compromise. Something that M$ might prefer to live with rather than appeal since the appeal process will take many years.
