Anyone every been putting together Net::SSLeay with OpenSSL 0.9.4 and get the following very frustrating error cpan> test Net::SSLeay Running make for SAMPO/Net_SSLeay.pm-1.05.tar.gz Unwrapped into directory /root/.cpan/build/Net_SSLeay.pm-1.05 Has already been processed within this session Running make test PERL_DL_NONLAZY=1 /usr/bin/perl -Iblib/arch -Iblib/lib -I/usr/lib/perl5/5.00503/i386-linux -I/usr/lib/perl5/5.00503 test.pl 1..16 Can't load 'blib/arch/auto/Net/SSLeay/SSLeay.so' for module Net::SSLeay: blib/arch/auto/Net/SSLeay/SSLeay.so: undefined symbol: SSL_library_init at /usr/lib/perl5/5.00503/i386-linux/DynaLoader.pm line 169. at test.pl line 17 BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at test.pl line 17. not ok 1 make: *** [test_dynamic] Error 2 /usr/bin/make test -- NOT OK I'll be honest. I normally just run CPAN and stuff works. So when confronted with the undefined symbol error, I'm not really sure what I am supposed to be doing to fix it. I've searched deja.com, altavista.com, read the page for Net::SSLeay, and according to everything I've found this should have just worked. But it's not. Any ideas?
