<vent> I just put a new motherboard in my system and it looks like one of my ethernet cards frellin' died... </vent> Which brings me to my question, my new motherboad is a Tyan Tiger 100 (dual CPU!) Obviously I'm planning on building a new SMP Kernel. But I've never built a kernal before. After compiling what exactly do I have to do? Is there a web site that gives good step-by-step instructions? Finally I'd like to move my DVD ROM from my windows computer to my Linux one. So do any of the 2.2 Kernels have DVD filesystem support, or do I have to wait for 2.4? -fjr -- Frank J.
